In this section, you can find all of our already ADOPTED dogs along with a bit about their rescue story:
April, May and June
We think these sweeties are approximately 4 months old, they came in as strays from Saskatchewan so we really have no idea on breed, seems to have some husky in there. Size we can not even guess.
April ADOPTED is so sweet, loves belly rubs and snuggles. She is a happy and go lucky puppy, loves to play with other dogs, is great with her 2 legged foster brother. Cats unknown.-
MAY No longer available
May is also very sweet and snuggly, she loves to play, she is the most confident of her siblings and will make a great family dog. Unfortunately ,after several vet visits and xrays it is concluded that May has a doggie version of Asthma, she may on occasion require a low dose steroid, but other than that she is perfect. May is fully house trained, she is very sweet and snuggly, she absolutely loves children.
June ADOPTED we think has had some very negative experiences and she is in a special foster to help her overcome whatever trauma she has experienced, she is not available at this time. June is ready for her forever home, June will always be on the shy side but she has learned that the world is a wonderful place. She will require a quieter home.

RUBY AND HER PRECIOUS GEMS
This one was very difficult, as the property that the momma and pups came from had a VERY disturbing display, of which I will not get into, not will the images ever leave my mind. The shelter that was housing mom and pups had collapsed, so I got out there as quickly as possible. After leaving the property, I had to pull over and have a good cry. I apologized to momma dog for the unimaginable suffering she had already lived through, I promised that her and her family were now safe, and her and her babies will never be cold, hungry or unloved again.
Introducing Ruby and her precious gems.....Onyx, Diamond, Topaz, Garnet, Jade and Zircon..
Welcome to the Ziggy's Family.
Ruby is very frightened and has a long road of recovery before her. If you are interested in fostering her, please reach out! We will keep you updated on her progress.
THE DOODLE BUGS- The Doodle Bugs came in with their mom in emaciated condition, they are now healthy, however 3 of them have funny little feet, that just adds to their very adorable quirkiness. All of these pups are very sweet and snuggly and would be a great fit for almost any home:
Toodle-is the sweet, well behaved quiet one of the litter, he too has flat feet. He is best suited to a quiet home and will not require a ton of exercise.
Zoodle-Has Cerebellar Hypoplasia-which means her back legs just randomly kick out, this is not really much of an issue but she will require a home that does not have stairs as it may dangerous for her. She is smart and funny, and would be perfect for a quiet home. Top Left picture
Hoodle-ADOPTED Is sweet and adventurous with a bit of a mischievous side:) she will adjust to almost any home easily. Middle Left Picture
Joodle-Is on the quieter side, he is smart and sweet and will be suitable for pretty much most homes as he blends well with his environment. As Joodle is maturing it is evident that he has a serious fear of men, A female only home will make him the most comfortable
Bottom Left Picture
Noodle-ADOPTED Noodle is a favorite here, he will literally jump into your arms for a snuggle, He also has flat feet, but it does not slow him down much at all. Bottom left picture
Doodle-ADOPTED The tank of the litter, sweet and super cuddly, loves people and everything else. Loves his baths Middle picture on the right.

Jasper came in all by himself as a stray. He was a super happy go lucky puppy and was able to find a fur-ever home real quick!
GINGER AND HER SPICE RACK PUPS
Ginger was a med size, best guess lab with some terrier ? She was a very nice dog that loved attention. She just wanted to be with humans. She was a great Mom to her spice rack and has found a home! So have her pups. So pleased with this happy ending!
The Endangered Species Litter:

Dobbie came to us as as a stray from Northern Saskatchewan. He is a sweet and smart boxer bullie mix and has found his fur-ever family.
The Malamute mix:
These pups came in with their mom, who is a "spay and return". This means the momma dog goes back to her owner after being spayed. Mom is a malamute mix, we don't know what kind of dog dad is.
Wally (male) - ADOPTED Wally is an outgoing puppy. He's always crawling up on people to get some human attention in! He can be a little vocal, so we think he'll grow up to be your typical singing malamute! He's a very respectful, sweet puppy who doesn't look like he has a huge amount of husky in him, maybe some Shepherd? He's affectionate and loving!
Hudson (male) - ADOPTED Hudson is more of a free spirit. He can be quite independent, so a secure fenced yard will be extra important for this boy! He has the most stunning heterochromia eyes (one grey/darker, one blue). As time goes by, he's turning out to be a very smart, cuddly, playful and easy going puppy! He likes to be close to his humans and will make adorable little malamute howls if he doesn't see you.
Victoria (female) -ADOPTED Victoria is curious and cuddly. She has the most distinct facial markings and she will be a stunner with a bright mind when fully grown! Victoria caught onto housetraining quickly and is very trainable! She's going to be a big girl when fully grown, based on her huge paws!
Nestle
Nestle came in with her 2 siblings, without a momma dog, so we don't know what breed mix they are. Maybe some kind of Husky Shepherd cross? We think they'll be medium-large sized dogs when fully grown. Nestle is a very playful pup who enjoys playing tug of war with her siblings. She likes to chase the water coming out of the hose when watering the plants and we think she'll love playing in the water when given the opportunity. She's a fast learner and has started to learn how to "sit"! Nestle is affectionate and likes to crawl on top of you and shower you with kisses. She now resides happily with her fur-ever family.
ADOPTED These 10 pups came in with their momma Carli (who has already found her forever home!). Mom looks like a Shepherd Husky X. These pups look more like Lab X with wrinkly faces, so who knows what breed mix they are. Let's call them 100% adorable. These pups were born around the beginning of May (best guess) and had their first vaccines July 2nd! Please fill out an application if you're interested in adopting a med-large sized dog and have the time, energy and patience for a puppy!
1. Cruze (male) - ADOPTED Cruze likes "cruzing" along in life. He enjoys sleeping on your lap when tired and curling up in a puppy puddle after a play session. He enjoys playing with toys and playing hide and seek!
2. Cole (male) - ADOPTED -Cole is the tank of the litter. He's the biggest and has the strongest character. He can be a little bit of a bully with his siblings. But he makes up for it with his adorable "Eeyore" look, wrinkly face and floof. He steals the hearts of everyone he meets!
3. Cora (female) -ADOPTED Cora is a sweet puppy. She has beautiful eyes and we think they might stay a lighter colour as she matures! Cora is a snuggle bug and lap puppy. She is also very food motivated and the foster mom is clicker training her and she is catching onto some tricks already!
4. Cassie (female) - ADOPTED Cassie has the cutest little wrinkles on her face! She can give you the "sad puppy eyes" and melt your heart! Cassie rhymes with "sassy" and we think that might not be a coincidence! If you like a pup with a big personality, Cassie might be the one for you!
5. Callie (female) -ADOPTED Callie was more of an observer when she was with all 9 of her siblings. Since being split up into smaller groups, she has come out of her shell. Callie has shown to be quite outgoing and she doesn't back away from roughhousing with her brother!
6. Cain (male) - ADOPTED Cain is your typical puppy, he's mid energy, just a sweet easy going pup! He has the funniest facial expressions and goofy ears when he hops around the yard!
7. Chance (male) - ADOPTED Chance loves to run around, play wrestle with his friends and does a little happy hop when he sees his foster humans! Chance loves playing with toys and has the proudest strut when he has a ball in his mouth. He likes tummy rubs and attention but is also great at entertaining himself!

Emma
Emma is a young social butterfly who came from a remote community in Saskatchewan. She looks like she might be a Lab Husky Malamute X. She's about 67lbs and almost a year old. She had a skin infection on her back (which has completely healed up) and her hair is growing back very nicely. Emma will get spayed soon. Emma has found her forever home, and loving her new life.

CeliaCelia came in with her puppy Sulley. She is a medium sized young girl who looks like a Shepherd mix. Celia is SUCH a sweet girl. She is shy, but loves to be around people. Celia gets along with everyone she meets, including cats and other dogs. And everyone who meets Celia, falls in love with her because of her deep brown eyes and gentle nature. We were absolutely devestated when we found out that Celia had a bunch of old injuries in her back, probably caused by being hit by a car and from being shot at (pellets were found inside of her). Celia needed major surgery while in our care as she was in pain. It was a stressful time for everyone, we wanted to give this sweet lady her quality of life back, but there were no guarantees that the surgery would be successful. No one was ready to give up on her, and neither was she! This survivor pulled through and healed like a warrior after her surgery, with the help of her foster mom. This girl's story sure got a happy ending, since her foster momma fell in love with her and ended up adopting her! Celia's new name is Tomyris or "Tomy", named after a historic Queen who was also a strong spirit! She now shares her home with 3 other dogs and has her human family home with her pretty much all the time!

Penney - "Big box stores" litterThese pups came in with their mom, who is a "spay and return". This means the momma dog goes back to her owner after being spayed. Mom is a husky, we don't know what kind of dog dad is. They are quite mellow for their assumed breed mix, but do have the Husky singing voice!
Penney's new name is "Hook"! She was adopted by a lady who's passionate about the Mamalute breed, but was now looking for a slightly smaller sized Northern breed dog to take on boat rides! Hook will live a life full of adventure on the water, camping, hiking and of course lots of cuddles at the end of a busy day! |
Timmie - "Big box stores" litterThese pups came in with their mom, who is a "spay and return". This means the momma dog goes back to her owner after being spayed. Mom is a husky, we don't know what kind of dog dad is. They are quite mellow for their assumed breed mix, but do have the Husky singing voice!
Timmie was renamed "Tucker", because his new dads go to Timmies a little bit too often and it would confuse the little guy! Tucker has a big Husky brother in his new home and we're so glad he was adopted to a breed experienced family! He's fitting in nicely and is ready to take on the world! |
Wendy - "Big box stores" litterThese pups came in with their mom, who is a "spay and return". This means the momma dog goes back to her owner after being spayed. Mom is a husky, we don't know what kind of dog dad is. They are quite mellow for their assumed breed mix, but do have the Husky singing voice!
Miss Wendy now goes by Aria. This girl has won the lottery and is living a life of luxury with a girl who has been dreaming of a Husky for a long time. She's going to a very knowledgable home where all her Husky antics and vocalisations will be embraced. She has acreage to run around on, 2 big canine siblings to show her everything life has to offer and a super loving human to call her own! |
CadburyThese 3 pups came in without a momma dog, so we don't know what breed mix they are. Since they were found in a box, they were named the "Box of Chocolates" pups.
Cadbury stole his foster mom's heart and decided he's not going anywhere! His foster mom soon chose to be a "foster fail" and adopted Cadbury, now "George". Lucky George is going through life looking handsome and smelling like roses, as his new mom is a groomer! |
HersheyThese 3 pups came in without a momma dog, so we don't know what breed mix they are. Since they were found in a box, they were named the "Box of Chocolates" pups.
Hershey loves to play with other dogs and people. She's a very curious pup and loves to go check out new things. She plays hard, but sleeps harder! Hershey, now "Choco" says "Surf's up!" as she's now a Ucluelet puppy. Beach, ocean, sun and playtime! Choco now has 3 human siblings to call her own and is sharing a home with some feline friends as well! |
DaisySweet Daisy came in after she was caught by a dog catcher in Saskatchewan and her owner didn't come to pick her up. Daisy needed an emergency, life saving surgery as she had pyrometra. luckily she pulled through and healed smoothly! Daisy is your typical gentle giant. She's about 75lbs and she looks like a St Bernard X. Everyone who meets Daisy, falls head over heels in love with her. She's your typical velcro dog who loves to be at your feet and follow you around. Miss Daisy found a home where she gets to be around her humans often and go on adventures, like beach days! She has a feline friend to hang out with at home, a beautiful yard to sniff all the flowers in and many human friends.

Tulip aka ChipChip was adopted when she was a wee pup. Miss Chip decided that the ducks at the hobbyfarm where she grew up, were just too much fun to play with and she was surrendered back to our rescue. Everyone kept thinking Chip was a boy, so we changed her name to something more girly and suiting: Tulip!
Tulip spent a few months in foster care, working on her socialization and confindence. She found the most wonderful home with an active retired couple who will keep her constant company, exciting trail walks and even boat rides! This sweet girl now goes by "Willow" and we think it suits her perfectly! She has a 4 legged brother named Joe who will show her the ropes and who is eager to be her best bud. We are all so happy for Willow, as many of our fosters and volunteers fell in love with her! |
ChesterChester is a young neutered mixed breed medium sized dog (Saskatchewan special, exact age unknown) who is just the sweetest boy. Chester LOVES getting cuddles from humans, big and small! Chester is VERY food motivated and we think he would crawl into our plate, if we'd let him!
Chester warms everyone's heart with his loving smile and happy personality. His new parents are SO glad they found each other. We all call ot a "match made in heaven". Chester is now living his best life in his parents' art gallery. He loves greeting all the visitors and going on adventures to the park! |
AceAce (formerly Clyde, Bonnie's sister) is a happy-go-lucky kinda guy who is extremely intelligent and playful. He came in as an orphan. Clyde turned out to be a very special little boy and started learning commands and concepts SO quickly once he was seperated from his sibling! He got adopted by a couple who are going to sign him up for puppy training classes so he can become the best boy he possibly can be! He'll be their center of attention! Ace has gone through a final name change and now goes by "Miles"!

ScarThese 3 boys, Thunk, Scar and Lionheart, came into our care without momma dog, so we have no clue what breed mix they are. A true Northern special and 100% adorable!
Scar has a little scar on his face. He's a little shy at first but loves to cuddle up right under your chin. Scar went to a home with 2 young teenage girls who ADORE him already. His new name is Charlie! |
ThunkThese 3 boys, Thunk, Scar and Lionheart, came into our care without momma dog, so we have no clue what breed mix they are. A true Northern special and 100% adorable!
Thunk is pretty shy and was very bonded to his brother, of the 3 he was the most timid. He started showing more and more of his personality when his brother, Scar, was adopted. This little boy now goes by Harvey. He is slowly settling into his new home and taking his time to get to know his new humans. We hear that Harvey is not a fan of the rain and can't wait for the sun to come out! |
LionheartThese 3 boys, Thunk, Scar and Lionheart, came into our care without momma dog, so we have no clue what breed mix they are. A true Northern special and 100% adorable!
Lionheart has the most beautiful coloured coat. He is brave and playful and loves to give hugs and cuddles. This sweet pup is ready to steal some hearts! And that he did! Lionheart, now Cash, found a lovely family who were SO ready for a 4 legged friend in their home and life! He has a beautiful yard to run around in and play! |
BonnieBonnie came in with her brother as an oprhan. She is the most loving little pup and LOVES LOVES LOVES humans. Ever since she came into our care, she had no hesitations at all. She would get super excited every time someone was ready to play or cuddle with her. This girl takes life in stride! She is adopted into a home with a senior dog to show her the ropes. And 2 extremely loving, family-oriented humans in a home where she will never ever be lonely! She now goes by "Millie"
|
SylvesterSylvester is one of Lola's pups and came in with sister Tazzy. These 2 are survivors and their strong spirit shows. Sylvester is a sweet, confident and playful pup that will make a great adventure buddy once he has grown into his paws. He was adopted by a family with a little kiddo in the home who we are sure is going to be his best friend! Sylvester now goes by "Peach"! Yes, his name was given to him by his kiddo!
|
TazzyTazzy is one of Lola's pups and came in with brother Sylvester. These 2 are survivors and their strong spirit shows. Tazzy is a shy, loving, and curious girl that would love nothing more than to melt into your lap and nap a while. Tazzy was adopted into a family where she will have all the time in the world for confidence building. She has 2 young teenage girls to call her own now and we are sure they will become besties!
|
KodaKoda was adopted through our rescue when she was a wee puppy, she went by the name "Laverne". Sadly she was returned to us at 7 months because the other resident dog and her no longer got along. Koda spent a while in foster care working on her training and social skills. One day she met the love of her life! Her new adopters! They had been thinking about adding a dog to their family for quite some time and the stars aligned. Koda loves her new life and she's working hard on her social skills in her new home. This cuddlebug with the funniest ears, is one lucky girl!
|
MarshallMarshall, our big, gentle giant "Malamutt" teddybear. As soon as he arrived in his foster home, he acted like he had lived there his whole life and became part of the family. Marshall is pretty laid back and not overly energetic. He gets along with humans big and small, other dogs and even cats. This beautiful boy was adopted by an experienced family with 2 kiddo's who we are sure will become his best friends! Marshall is keeping his lovely name!
|
LolaLola is the momma of Tazzy and Sylvester. She has the most amazing big, silly ears! We think they just reflect her special personality! Lola is a very sweet and easy going girl in her foster home. She gets along with everyone (cats, dogs, people). She can get very playful, we think she's still a pup herself. Lola now goes by "Ali" and was adopted by her foster family! She stole their hearts after only a few days. Ali now has two little Westie doggy siblings!
|
Sailor - "Sponsor-A-Pup" litterSailor from the "sponsor-a-pup" litter had been returned to us because of allergies in the original adoptive family. This little guy is full of beans and LOVES to play. Sailor loves tossing his toys around, jumping up and chasing them. We think he's mixed with a kangaroo! The second time around, he found a home up island with a lovely family where he has a little human to run around with, as well as a big 4 legged brother. It was adorable to see how Sailor, now Cedar, bonded with the kid right away!
|
Grizzly - "Sponsor-A-Pup" litterOur sweet little Grizzly is a special boy. We noticed something was different about him when looking into his eyes, they were a little "wonky". Grizzly would also have some "peculiar" behaviours, like barking into the nothingness while all his littermates were napping. Grizzly was placed into a long term foster home so we could find out if he'd require any special or ongoing care in the future. When Grizzly was 16 weeks old, he went for a final check-up and the vet found nothing medically wrong with him. He's just a special little fella! He was adopted by his long term foster family and we are so happy for him!
|
Ella - "Sponsor-A-Pup" litterThese pups are Mackenzie's babies. We did a fundraiser event, where people could donate and got to name their sponsor puppy! These pups al looked very much alike when they were younger and as they grew, their unique personalities and looks became clear!
Ella was the runt of this litter. Smaller than her siblings, but only in size! This feisty little girl is full of beans and would run around terrorizing her siblings. We all thought she'd be one of the first to get adopted, because of her smaller size, beautiful colouring and outgoing personality. For some reason, she was the last one! Once her siblings were gone, she turned into the sweetest, smartest, human-focussed girl! Her new family took her home and she has settled right in! She is keeping her name. Ella! |
Sheila - "Sponsor-A-Pup" litterThese pups are Mackenzie's babies. We did a fundraiser event, where people could donate and got to name their sponsor puppy! These pups al looked very much alike when they were younger and as they grew, their unique personalities and looks became clear!

Bear was adopted by a couple who have lots of experience with 4-legged family members! He will have to learn to share the attention with his new feline friend in the home, but we are confident that the adopters have all the right tricks down their sleeves!

"Days of our lives" litterThese 9 pups were born on August 31st in Saskatchewan while their mom was in foster care, so have received lots of human love and care from day one! Their momma is a pitty/lab mix. These pups were huge for their age, so we warned all the adopters that they may turn into XL dogs! As with many Xl breeds, these pups are all extremely gentle, calm and a little bit lazy.
Chloe was adopted into a home where she'll have acreage to run, explore and play on with her human and canine siblings! Theo was a foster fail! His foster family fell in love with him and decided to make the commitment! He has canine siblings and even ducks in his new home! Farmlife, here comes Theo! Chase was adopted by the parents and neighbours of Theo's family! They will have lots of playdates and grow up as brothers! Hope was adopted by a supporter of the rescue group. She fell in love with sweet Hope right from the start! Elvis went to a home with a lovely couple. He has a feline friend there who he can chill with. And if it's up to Elvis, some playtime may be in the cards as well! Trip, Rafe and Roane were the last pups from this gang to find their forever homes. We think their foster families just loved having them around too much, haha! With a little bit of patience, these guys also found such loving homes. We can't wait to see the beautiful dogs they'll turn into as they grow! |

Eevee found a wonderful home where she will be spending her playtime with a 13 year old sweetheart of a dog, as well as a very active little 4 year old human sibling!

GrayMister Gray is a gorgeous 15 month old, +/- 70lbs Shepherd X. Gray is an amazingly bright young dog who wants to please. Once Gray knows you, he is the sweetest, most loyal companion you could ask for. Gray had not been exposed to the world as much as a dog should, so he gets overstimulated in new situations (like meeting new people or dogs). Gray loves to play and hang out with other dogs.
During his foster care, Gray made great progress which allowed him to find his forever home! He's going to a gentleman who will give him all the love and training he needs. Gray will have lots of doggy friends in his new family! |
"Sweet treats" litter - TurtlesThe puppies were all in terrible condition when they came into our rescue, emaciated and full of parasites. They were all been placed in loving foster homes until they were strong enough to be adopted.
Turtles was the smallest one of the litter and was very sick when she came into care. Luckily, she's a fighter and is now doing much better! She's one of the calmer pups, but holds her own between her siblings. She loves to soak up cuddles and attention. She got adopted and is now living the dream! |
"Sweet treats" litter - SnickersThe puppies were all in terrible condition when they came into our rescue, emaciated and full of parasites. They were all been placed in loving foster homes until they were strong enough to be adopted.

"Sweet treats" litter - TootsieOur Tootsie has a mind of her own and doesn't like to take "no" for an answer. When she doesn't want to be in the puppy play pen, she screeches, so get your ear plugs ready! She's a little troublemaker. With the right owner, she will become a wonderful dog. She's absolutely adorable and loves attention. And that's exactly what Tootsie found, a home where she will receive tons of attention and love, all to herself!
|
"Sweet treats" litter - ReeseLittle Reese is unique, she has extra toes on her hind feet! These don't bother her at all. Reese, like all her siblings, is feisty. She's a "middle of the pack" kind of dog, meaning she is sweet and won't start any ruckus, but she'll join in on the party! Reese found a home on a farm with very experienced owners, where she will not only have a dog buddy, but also chickens and even donkeys to become friends with! Her new name is Ember!
|
"Sweet treats" litter - CaramelCaramel is a feisty but absolute loveable pup! He loves to run around and play with the other 2 dogs in his foster home. He listens, but with an attitude. Caramel found a home with a family with 2 young boys who will love this little nugget like no other!
|
"TV Judges" litter - Greg MathisGreg is one of our "Judges litter" pups. Greg was adopted, but was returned to our rescue because he was just a bit too much puppy for the adopters. We have gotten to know Greg as a very sweet, affectionate little guy. He loves to cuddle. He is easy going, loves other dogs, loves all people and loves to play. Belle found a new home quickly and is settling into living with the resident cats and a 12 year old boy who we are sure is going to be her best friend.
|
ParkerParker is one of our P-litter pups, their mom is Porschia. We had some early on concers with Parker. He would wobble and shake. He had been seen by our vet and they recommended to just keep a close eye on him. After a few days, no more wobbles and shakes! He is a little bit slower than his siblings, so we were looking for a special home with lots of patience and attention for Parker. And that's exactly what he found! He now goes by the name of Bodey!
|
PiperPiper is one of our P-litter pups, their mom is Porschia. Piper was described as a real diva by his foster mom! He prefers nothing more than to be held and get all the attention! The freckles on his nose give him an adorable, unique look. He was adopted by a lovely woman and her son. We are sure he will be able to remain the diva he is and soak up all the attention! He'll have to share with the 2 resident cats, though!
|
PabloPablo is one of our P-litter pups, their mom is Porschia. Pablo was the only blue eyed puppy in the litter! He can be a bit mischievious, so we were looking fo a husky-savvy home for him! PorschiaPorschia is a young (+/- 1 year old) husky Xwho came in with her 8 puppies. Since she is still so young herself, Porschia was not too interested in being a mom. She tried her best to be there for her puppies, but was also very happy to let her foster take over the puppy-care. She's a sweet, active, fun dog who steals the show with her looks. She has an amazingly beautiful coat that needs lots of grooming. Porschia found a forever home quickly after arriving on the island. She found a home with experienced people who can show her the ropes and give this young lady a new start in life! She was renamed "Luna".
|
MiaThis beautiful lady came in with her 5 puppies and is now ready to find her forever home! She is a chocolate lab X who is just under a year old.
Mia bonds quickly with her people and loves to be close to you. A home where she doesn't have to be alone for too long, would be ideal. Mia can be cautious around strangers, so slow introductions are necessary. She likes children. She enjoys other dogs, so preference will be given to applicants with a well balanced resident dog in the home. This will help her become a more confident dog herself. Mia was adopted by a wonderful couple with another dog and someone who is home all the time to keep her company and take her on adventures! |
MaizieMaizie was one of the South Indian Lake Manitoba dogs. She is a bully breed mix, approximately 8 months old, super affectionate, loves people. Maizie needs an experienced home to teach her proper manners and someone that can burn off some energy with her. Maizie has been gaining weight as she came in fairly thin. She is food motivated, and will do best with a home that is very active. Maizie is house and crate trained.
Maizie was adopted by an experienced family where she can develop her full potential! |
MiloMeet handsome Milo! This approximately 6 month old pup is a gentle giant. He will grow up to be a large dog. He was rescued from a Northern Manitoba community and we can only guess his breed mix. We think he might have some Mastiff / husky /...in him, but who knows!
Milo is quite laid back, gentle and affectionate. He loves to play. Milo will need basic training and a family dedicated to help him become the best dog possible! He has great potential, this sweetheart! And that's exactly the kind of family Milo has found now, where he's the star of the show and very loved! |
MielleMielle is a 1-2 year old medium Manitoba Special mixed breed. We don't know much about her history prior to being rescued. All we know is that she's a sweet girl! MaddieMaddie was one of our Manitoba rescues. We estimate her to be about 1-2 years old. She's a typical Heinz 57, meaning we can only make guesses regarding her breed mix. She's a beautiful, fluffy, medium sized dog who weighs approximately 30lbs. Maddie has shown to be a gentle soul. She LOVES being around her human and will follow you around everywhere. She bonds quickly and gets very attached. She is just such an easy-going dog. Maddie found a loving home where she fits in just perfectly!

LokiLoki is a 10 month old shepherd x husky. He is housetrained and working on leash manners. He loves children, but might be a bit too much for very small kids, as he sometimes jumps up. Loki enjoys playtime (squeeky toys!) and walks. He is great in the house and starting to be comfortable in a crate. He enjoys going for car rides! He knows sit, down and shake a paw, he is very smart and a quick learner.
We have gotten to know Loki quite well now, and even though he is an absolute cuddlebug, he has some undesirable traits. He was loved in his previous home, however he was not taught much proper doggy manners. He needed to go to someone that is husky savvy, has a fully fenced yard with no other pets at this time. Loki will probably be able to have doggy friends, however he needs some training first to learn how to approach new dogs in a proper, calm way. He requires someone that will be invested in his future to enhance his fantastic traits. Loki found a wonderful home with experienced owners and is living his best life! |
NuggetNugget is a 14 week old chiweenie, which is a chihuahua dachshund mix. She is currently 4lbs of big dog in a little dog body. She has a deformed front paw, but it does not slow her down and the vet says she can keep her leg as long as it does not cause problems. So far, so good! Unless if you look at the paw, you can't even tell. Nugget has a typical little dog attitude, she is very possessive over her space. She now will go in the crate for naps, but of course being a lap dog, she prefers a lap. She is working on pee pad training and loves people. She's great with cats too. She likes playing with other dogs. Nugget went to a wonderful home with a retired couple who have all the time in the world for her!

OliviaOlivia was found pregnant and unresponsive on the road from ingesting some sort of toxin (garbage). 6 months before this, we already took in 2 of Olivia's puppies from her previous litter, but unfortunately we were unable to get Olivia surrendered into the rescue. She was taken to the Waves emergency vet clinic in Langford B.C. and we were able to convince the owner to surrender Olivia. Olivia has had litter after litter of puppies (last count 34 puppies at 2 1/2 years old). Her last puppies were born into our care and have all found amazing homes. Olivia is now living her best life with her new family.
